Press Setter Operator - Job Summary:
We're supporting our client, a specialist presswork and assembly manufacturer, based in West

Bromwich, who are looking for a Press Setter Operator to join their growing team. The successful

Press Setter Operator will have experience with setting and operating power presses, multi-stage, and more. Supervisory skills would also be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities for Press Setter Operator:


  • Setting a range of presses on the shop floor; including power, singleoperation, progression, and multistage.
  • Working on presses up to 400 tonnes.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Supervising and overseeing the operations of a small team of Operators/other setters/personnel on shop floor.
  • Setting and changing tooling when needed.
  • Checking and inspecting finished components.

About You:


  • Seasoned/timeserved Press Setter (ideally with supervisory and leadership skills)
  • Apprentice trained or equivalent
  • Ideally ROSPA or PUWER certified
