About the role


What you need to know:


We are seeking a casualty claims handler with extensive experience of managing third party claims for bodily injury and third party property damage.


The role will be client facing and in addition to coverage, legal liability and quantum analysis, will require interaction with brokers, insureds, external providers and internal stakeholders.


Adjudicate claims including coverage and liability assessment and quantum analysis within authority limits and providing a customer centric mindset with excellent standards of customer service.

Ensuring effective vendor and litigation management within claims
Timely, accurate and customer focused claim resolution, minimising indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expense for claims of medium to high complexity
Effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.
Financial control through consistent reserve and other financial transaction discipline

Strive for continuous improvement on claim file handling with feedback and support the internal Quality Assurance Review process through conducting file reviews.

Coaching and developing team members to expand their technical knowledge and skill sets.
Contribute to the maintenance of best practice procedures for intermediate to high value claims.
What we're looking for
Some technical knowledge of casualty EL/GL casualty claims within the fast-track
Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written & verbal, in managing various stakeholders (customers, panel lawyers, brokers etc)
Ability to contribute effectively and influence within a team environment.
Knowledge of the legal and procedural frameworks and experience of running claims to trial.
Ability to work with claims stakeholders to effectively direct claims strategy.
