Permanent Customer Services and Safety Officer

Urban Housing Service is searching for a Customer Services and Safety Officer in Derby to work a hostel that provides self-catered emergency accommodation for people seeking asylum.

The site can accommodate up to 225 residents and is staffed 24 hours a day. This post requires someone that is prepared to work flexibly including some evening, nights and weekends. The work environment is very rewarding for the right dynamic individual.

You will act as the first point of contact for service users ensuring a welcoming environment. Ensure the site remains safe and secure for staff, visitors and service users.

Working in a hostel or similar environment.
Good communication skills

Ability to use IT effectively including databases

An understanding and empathy of working with vulnerable people

Working with people seeking asylum is desirable
Additional languages are desirable

Have proof of right to work in the UK
Be prepared to undertake an enhanced DBS, BPSS and CTC checks

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
£25,825.00 per year
