Description
*EXPERIENCED NANNY REQUIRED

*GREAT EVERSDON (CB23)

*DRIVER ESSENTIAL

*PERMANENT POSITION

*MON - THURS

A very welcoming, professional family living in Great Eversden (approx. 8 miles S/W of Cambridge & 10 miles North of Royston) is seeking a reliable, gentle & experienced Nanny to care for their 2 year old child who enjoys imaginative play, baking, painting, drawing & exploring in the family's beautiful, south facing garden. The family have recently welcomed a new addition, therefore, towards the end of 2024 when Mum returns to work the role could become sole charge care of both children (approx. 3yrs old & 10 months old at this time).

Although initially Mum will be around caring for the newborn she is conscious of the nanny/child dynamic and won't interfere, likely planning daily outings & external play dates for the newborn.

The role is therefore sole charge care of the 2 year old & the nanny is encouraged to plan activities inside at home, along with fun play dates and trips to places such as Anglesey Abbey, Wimpole Farm & the local Fun Barn.

This lovely role is offered on a live-out basis, with a safe, confident driver, with their own car being an essential aspect.

◆ Start date:
March 2024 but the family have flexibility to wait for the right person

◆ Core Hours:
Monday to Thursday, the family can be flexible on times but suggested hours are 9.00am - 5.00pm.

It is possible that these hours can be increased to 8.00am - 5.30pm during late 2024 when Mum returns to work.

► Salary:
Up to £14.00 gph / £1,941.33 gpm dependent on qualifications & previous experience.

► Pets:
None

► Duties:

Daily gentle, loving care of the toddler, planning fun, educational activities based on their current & future interests whilst encouraging them to reach future milestones, assistance with toilet training when the time comes, managing an appropriate nap time, planning & implementing fun trips to local National Trust properties or soft play centres, encouraging socialisation by researching & accompanying the child to local organised children's groups, planning play dates with peers, or spontaneous trips to the park or library.

All usual nursery duties including some laundry, keeping communal areas tidy, meal planning & preparing fresh & nutritious snacks/meals. The successful applicant will be communicative & willing to work with the parents as partners at all times.

To be considered for this position,

You must live and have the right to work in the UK.

You must have a minimum of two immediately contactable previous employer references.

You must have an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate or be willing to complete one.

A formal childcare qualification is preferable, in addition to previous nannying experience with a child of a similar age.
