Yardleys is a thriving, vibrant and heavily oversubscribed 11-16 multi-ethnic stand-alone academy in Birmingham, with 944 students on roll. The diversity of the school population reflects the rich, cultural mix of the local area.

The successful applicant will supervise classes in the absence of the teacher as part of a small, supportive team of Cover Supervisors.

You will need to be educated to at least A level standard, have the ability to relate well to young people and maintain discipline in the classroom.

Experience of working with young people in a voluntary or paid capacity is essential, as are good IT skills. An interest in establishing extra-curricular activities for students is essential.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
