As HSE Advisor you will support our UK Subsea and Conventional activities as part of the UK and Global IRM (UKGIRM) business unit.

Reporting to the HSE Team Lead, the HSE Advisor will bring role relevant knowledge and experience to make an immediate contribution to the team.
Duties include supporting current and future projects and business activities through the co-ordination and effective implementation of HSE tools, principles and objectives.
Reasonable planned travel to vessels and work sites may be required.
At Subsea7 we recognise talent is found within all industries, and as such while experience within the subsea and offshore industry is desirable this is not essential.
What experience would we like you to have?
- Ensuring adequate HSE visibility throughout the lifecycle of projects continuously driving improvement of the HSE culture
- Promoting and ensuring compliance with Regulatory HSE requirements, Subsea 7 Policies and Procedures, and Client HSE requirements
- Preparing and participating in emergency response preparedness exercises
- Supporting HSE deliverables for tenders
- Communicating HSE matters to the wider HSE team
- Supporting Subsea 7 Worksite Health Check Programme
- Conducting HSE audits
- Provide project personnel with appropriate environmental advice and support, whilst liaising with Company Environmental specialists
- Liaise with Offshore Resources on Vessel Assurance as appropriate
- Awareness of project vessels significant environmental aspects and ensuring project hazardous substance assessments are in place
- Liaising with other internal disciplines, business units and external stakeholders
Project and Operations
- Assuming responsibility as HSE Advisor on individual projects
- Engaging with worksite management teams and supporting operations
- Delivery of HSE briefings
- Monitoring and review of project HSE performance
- Supporting the implementation of key performance indicators
- Increasing HSE awareness through delivery of training modules
- Facilitating the coordination of vessel assurance between projects and Clients
- Supporting projects and worksites with incident investigations
- Monitoring incident reporting and close out
- Preparing and maintaining project specific HSE documentation
- Supporting the facilitation of lessons learned into project planning
- Visits to worksites and vessels, with the possibility of some offshore trips
Clients & Suppliers
- Participating in Client HSE liaison meetings
- Following up on Client feedback addressing any HSE issues as necessary
- Participating in supplier HSE liaison meetings
- Monitoring supplier HSE performance
- Providing HSE support for supplier prequalification, assessments and frame agreement.
- Qualified in relevant HSE disciplines
- Completed or working towards NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice
- Chartered Member of IOSH or actively working towards CMIOSH
- Broad range of subsea operations knowledge
- Broad knowledge of applicable HSE legislation
- Trained in Taproot or similar tool on incident investigation analysis
- Qualified and experienced Lead Auditor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, maintains strong collaborative relationships at all levels across a multicultural global environment.
- Capable of presenting and discussing topics at Management level
- Accustomed to managing and recording deliverables with a high level of accuracy
- Proactive planning and organising skills, able to identify and effectively prioritise workload and successfully meet multiple, competing deadlines.
- Flexible to adapt to changing priorities within a fastpaced 24/7 global business.
- Proactive with a solutionsbased approach, willing to challenge the status quo.
- Demonstrates initiative and ownership to deliver workload unsupervised while flexible to support wider team activities.
