Field Service Engineer - UK
£40-45k + company van + bonus + overtime
This role is with a Biogas manufacturer who are experience huge growth due to a number of exciting new projects across the group.
You will be responsible for providing advice on service and maintenance work in the field of mechanical engineering for their biogas and CO2 installations.
FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carrying out service activities (preventive and corrective maintenance) on location (incidentally international) in accordance with the work order
- Work is done on the bases of planning, drawings, service contracts and according to (inter)national regulations
- Discussing the work assignment (approach, scope, planning and work in and out) with the Service Team Leader
- You are able to troubleshoot, identify, analyze and repair failures in our systems in the field
- Where appropriate, take care of, prepare, and check the required materials/parts before transport to location
- Checking and managing materials, parts and tools on site
- You feel comfortable in a role where customer satisfaction and technical challenges go hand in hand
- You are creative, innovative and think in terms of opportunities and solutions. You are committed to people and organizations and able to forge relationships quickly and easily
- Ensuring order, tidiness, and safety in the workplace
- Executing service reporting of the job executed including hour progress reports
- Verbally and by mail communicating the progress of the work (more/less more, deviation reports, etc.)
- Performing interim and final checks
- Signaling more/less work towards the Team leader Field Service
- Stopping work in case of unsafe situations and if needed rejecting work to be performed.
- Compliance with the quality standards of the work performed
FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Preferably, you have knowledge of and experience with refrigeration & industrial gas systems, including pressure equipment.
- Knowledge of gas compressors and rotating machineries, with experience in the gas process technologies would be a plus.
- Knowledge of electrotechnical components such as sensors and frequency drives.
- Knowledge of PLC Technology, it is an advantage if you can program.
- Approximately 3 years of experience as a field service engineer or equivalent role.
- Mechanical engineering knowledge of pumps and pneumatic valves
- Safety, occupational health and safety, environmental and quality regulations
- English language spoken and written
- VCA vol / Secured working education
