Are you a self-motivated, dynamic people leader looking for a new challenge in a completely different industry? Ever wondered what it's like working behind the scenes of a busy police force? We've got the perfect opportunity for you to join our Fleet Management Department as a Team Leader.
This is a diverse role where you'll be providing support and development to your team who will be responsible for the maintenance of Police vehicles, reception function and vehicle movements.
This role is crucial in ensuring our busy force can operate smoothly and your team will be instrumental in supporting operational policing.
Most importantly, you'll be working closely with your team to ensure they are motivated and delivering a fantastic service to a wide variety of stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Ensuring your team are effectively resourced to provide a high level of customer service.
- Identifying and acting on any skills gap's, ensuring training is organised and completed.
- Managing the team in their daily duties, allocating work, managing performance and attendance.
- Carrying out recruitment and selection of new staff when required. Collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve a smooth police operation.
- Maintaining and updating computer systems to ensure services are efficient and effective.
What you'll bring
- You'll need to have excellent planning and organisational skills to ensure a high quality of service to our customers.
- Management or staff supervision experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt to a variety of stakeholders.
- An understanding of Health & Safety and staff performance management.
- The confidence to manage expectations of numerous stakeholders.
You'll also need a valid UK driving licence to travel between sites when required.
