We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.


Due to internal promotion, we are looking for a Customer Service Representative to work collaboratively within our customer services team and provide an efficient and high-quality service to our global customers ordering our print and digital products.


About the role


In this role, you will own, investigate, and resolve customer queries within agreed timescales and in line with standard operating procedures.

You will be a vital voice of the customer contributing to changes and developments in the customer experience.


Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Managing customer orders from start to completion using our SAP system.
  • Investigating queries which can range from individual students to large distributors, societies, members or agents to find an agreeable resolution.
  • Producing reports on a regular basis, identifying trends, and feeding back information as required.
  • Working as part of the team to continually review processes and identify ways of improvement.
  • Focus on building strong working relationships with external and internal customers and contacts including SAP superusers and wider business teams.

About you

  • A selfmotivated individual who can provide an excellent service to our customers and internal contacts globally.
  • Ideally a confident user of MS Office package along with a high proficiency in spreadsheet functions, however full training can be provided.
  • Ability to confidently communicate with people at all levels and remain approachable in a pressured environment.
  • The ability to speak Spanish would be an advantage in this role, however not essential.
