Quality Control Technician | Quainton | Full Time | Permanent | £12.50 Per Hour

Our client in Quainton is looking to recruit an individual on a permanent basis, as a Quality Control Technician, for an immediate start.

As a Quality Control Technician your role will be to focus on all aspects of hatchery technical operations, inclusive of egg quality monitoring, breeder flock fertility, incubation and chick hatch performance.

Using gathered information to then documentand trend data to provide a reporting system which monitors performance of breeder flocks. This is a labour-intensive processing environment where hygiene standards are highly important. Office based 30% and Factory based 70%.

Conducting physical & bacteriological egg quality assessments.
Reviewing of egg core temperatures through the supply chain from farm to hatchery.
Monitoring egg hygiene through fumigation/sanitation effectiveness in the hatchery.
Analysing Flock fertility by breeder house.
Reviewing chick hatch performance and investigating chick incubation losses.
Providing detailed information on chick quality assessments.
Provide Hatchery Management Team with written reports, data analysis, findings & actions, which will then be communicated to relevant departments for investigations or awareness.
Responsible for monitoring hygiene standards within the hatchery.
Reporting any nonconformances highlighted through ongoing monitoring to the hatchery management team.
Working flexibility to cover role on weekends if required to fulfil tasks

Hatchery experience desirable

Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Good verbal and written English
Ability to prioritise work and work to tight deadlines
Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
Good computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft packages Word and Excel
Proactive attitude towards work.
