Job Summary:


Based out of our state of the art Research and Development facility in Bristol; and as a result of continued growth within the Integrated Project Team, we are now seeking a Project Support Officer to join the existing team supporting the Technology part of our business.

The role will help enable an integrated project team maintain a busy schedule for a large scale customer research & development demonstration.


This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to either kick start their career within Project Management, or someone with a few years experience looking to progress into a Project Management role once the relevant PMQ is achieved.


There is plenty of opportunity to work on some really exciting cutting edge projects, across a platform of products, including our most recent Hydrogen Propulsion.


This role would suit a cheerful, proactive and tenacious individual who is at ease communicating with busy technical teams, chasing them to fulfil their project obligations.

A proficiency with Microsoft office products and project terminology will be required, however an aptitude for numbers, structured process and a willingness to learn is preferable to formal qualifications.


Responsibilities:


You will be a motivated and resourceful individual who can support the planning and execution of large and collaborative programmes in receipt of government grant funding.

In this busy and varied role, you will be involved in:


  • Coordination of projectbased activities such as purchase order requests, compiling inputs from technical teams; driving through to formal approval, and guiding new suppliers through the registration process.
  • Supporting team supplier management post purchase order; including tracking of deliveries, and ensuring timely goods receipt actions from item owners.
  • Troubleshooting problem items with suppliers; including returns or quality issues.
  • Assisting with administration of Capital investment process documents.
  • Administering project level financial forecasts, risk assessment, progress and impact metrics.

Job Qualifications:

In order to be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following:


Essential:


  • Experience in a busy, administrative role working with a range of stakeholders; which sees you managing conflicting demands.
  • A team player.

Desirable:


  • Previous experience in a similar project support role.
  • Experience in financial or scheduling coordination.
  • Experience working in a Technology environment.
