Join Protocol Education's vibrant team as a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant at a dynamic secondary school in Newham.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist individual students or small groups in their learning journey and academic progress
  • Support students with SEND in accessing the curriculum, adapting teaching materials as needed
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers
  • Monitor and document student progress, sharing updates with teachers and parents/carers
  • Help students develop social and emotional skills while promoting positive behavior
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and the SEN team to implement individual education plans effectively

Requirements:


  • Relevant qualification in teaching support or related field
  • Prior experience working with SEND students in a secondary school environment
  • Knowledge of strategies and interventions for various SEND needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a teamoriented approach
  • Commitment to delivering highquality education for all students, including those with SEND

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
