The Cyber Security Manager position is a highly technical, hands-on leadership role with high visibility and significant responsibility.
Requires familiarity with recent threats and adversarial techniques, as well as the ability to understand complex environments.
Business and interpersonal skills are essential to manage risk to the business, interface with other business units and develop incidentresponse analysts.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively hunt and detect threats in the environment and implement solutions to protect against threat actors new attack tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Research and identify potential threats, deliver strategic reports, and strategies to minimize the impact of threats.
- Perform threat analysis, incident assessments, and provide recommendations to improve security posture.
- Collaborate with Development and Information Technology teams to help detect new, or unique threats and recommend mitigations based on threat hunting observations.
- Develop relationships and partner with vendors, industry groups, government agencies to share treat intelligence.
- Create and improve processes for incident detection, triage, and the execution of countermeasures.
- Develop security metrics and dashboards to measure performance.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science (preferred), information assurance, MIS or related field, or equivalent
- At least 6+ years' experience in information security, Incident response and threat detection.
- At least 2 years' experience with operations and security across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Expected to hold one or more security certifications relevant to the position, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Security Incident Handler (CSIH), CISM (Certified Information SecurityManager)
- AWS or Azure Architect or Security certifications
Skills:
- Experience in SOC operations and incident response.
- Deep understanding of the cybersecurity trends, threat actors, vulnerabilities, detection, and response processes.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and published documentation: OWASP Top 10, NIST 80053, ISO 27001, etc.
- Knowledge of offensive and defensive cybersecurity concepts and tactics, secure software development, incident response and/or computer forensics.
- Ability to convey extremely technical concepts to audiences with varying technical prowess.
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK techniques.
