We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Programme Lead to work for the Counter Terrorism Unit of Thames Valley Police.

This is an assisgnment until June 2024, this role will predominently working from home with a view of going into the office 1 to 2 a week.

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO POLICE VETTING CRITERIA YOU MUST HAVE BEEN RESIDING WITHIN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.


The overall purpose of the role is to: Coordinate all IT-related programme activity, working closely with CTPSE IT lead and their team


KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS:


  • Working with the CTPSE IT and Security teams to ensure that the systems and network in the new hub meet user and accreditor requirements in readiness for new hub go-live
  • Work with the Caeruleus Programme Leadership and PMO to ensure that all IT activities are accurately captured and reflected in all plans, status reports and other artefacts.
  • Work with the Caeruleus Programme leadership to ensure all stakeholders have confidence in the new hub IT design and delivery plans
  • Produce IT transition plans and readiness assessments so that transition to the new hub can happen with mínimal impact on Operations.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ROLE

  • Experience of being an IT Work stream or Programme lead on a new capital build project
  • Agile approach to working - ability to work in an iterative method and have a flexible approach to working
  • Team Leadership - this role will lead a small IT team and will be responsible for ensuring that the team is working well together, has complementary skills and work in a problem solving, collaborative manner
  • Strategic perspectives - must be able to take an overall strategic view of the ICT landscape to produce integrated plan for all IT design and delivery activities in cooperation with building architects and design engineers
  • Must be able to build relationships and work closely with the Caeruleus Programme Team, including the leadership, the client rep team and the PMO
  • The post holder must be able to write in a clear and convincing style as they will be the advocates of change to senior decision making groups.
  • The post holder will have held an IT programme or work stream lead role - preferably within secure IT environments
