Title of Job:
Press-Brake Operator


Reports To:
Shop Floor Manager


Main Purpose of Job:
To produce formed components in sheet metal using CNC controlled press brakes and manually controlled press brakes. Y

You will be asked to undertake test of competency.

Key Tasks

  • Comply with health and safety policy
  • Responsible for regular maintenance of machines and equipment
  • Responsible for ensuring route cards are filled in correctly.
  • Responsible for area housekeeping
  • To use offline programmes and work instructions as required
  • Able to read drawings and use own initiative to produce parts that meet customer's quality requirements.
  • To programme Press-Brakes as required
  • To develop new parts and record data on process sheets.
  • To participate in continuous improvement projects and attend training courses where applicable
Hours of work

Day shift

7.00am-5:15pm Monday -Thursday

7.00am-12.00 Noon Friday (you will be expected to commit to overtime for Business need on Fridays)


Additional Duties The individual has the responsibility and authority to ensure customer requirements are met.

The Quality Office is to be informed promptly of products and processes that do not conform to customer requirements.


It is the nature of the work of our company that tasks and responsibilities are in many circumstances unpredictable and varied.

All employees are therefore expected to work in a flexible way, when the occasion arises, including occasional evening and weekend work.


These additional duties will normally be to cover changes in work and will normally be compatible with the regular type of work.


Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm

Contract length: 12 weeks


Salary:
£12.00-£13.00 per hour
