Sound good? We are looking for an Academy Team Coach to join our newly established E&M Skills Academy to help us improve the capabilities related to Electrical & Mechanical maintenance.

As the E&M Skills Academy Team Coach you will have the opportunity to be actively involved in the E&M Apprenticeship Programme, Service Delivery, Planned Maintenance, Statutory Maintenance, Office Support and Technical Support teams within E&M.

You will be an upbeat and adaptable individual who relishes your role as a mentor.

You will motivate and educate the E&M teams by encouraging and supporting the achievement of objectives through coaching & feedback.

You will place high value on your teams and customers, by meeting or exceeding their needs at every opportunity. You will have the ability and desire to fully resolve problems, by taking ownership and actively seeking solutions.

What you will do

You will embed an ethos of ownership, accountability and "can do" attitude to ensure all customer issues are resolved to satisfaction and you will provide individual coaching for Team Members to improve performance or to support change initiatives.

You will own the E&M apprentice journey and be the key point of contact for apprentices to ensure they get the most out of their experience and be the liaison between the various departments, colleges and training academies.

You will also develop and facilitate E&M Specific Induction programmes and on-boarding for apprentices and new staff and monitor and drive team performance while providing support for Team Leaders to understand improvement areas that will enhance E&M team and customer experience.

Additionally, you will support and drive improvements in Service Excellence, Great Value and Financial Sustainability and Beyond Net Zero within the E&M team.

You will also communicate key messages to team members in a clear and timely manner.

Provide feedback and reports to continuously improve the E&M customer satisfaction and build links with stakeholders internal and external to Scottish Water.

Lastly, you will facilitate and support the implementation of all projects impacting on E&M and ensure all projects are successfully completed to form Business as Usual.

What you'll bring

When it comes to essential skills and knowledge, we're seeking someone with confidence and tenacity, coaching and mentoring skills, a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration, and a dedication to providing excellent customer service.

Effective time management, organization, and prioritization skills are essential, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You will be comfortable with evolving technology and new business initiatives, and proactive in supporting others.

The ability to recognize and appreciate different personalities and learning styles, as well as analytic and problem-solving capability, are also essential.

Flexibility to travel is also a requirement.

Beyond that, we are also looking for a few 'nice-to-haves'.

An understanding of key operational and E&M processes and roles, knowledge of the fault resolution process, familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Ellipse, and Microsoft Office, confidence to raise and sustain challenges, and facilitation and presentation skills are desirable traits.

Join our team as a Team Coach and make a difference in the lives and careers of our employees. Together, let's create an environment where talents thrive, and our collective success knows no bounds.

Looking out for you
