We are looking for a Junior Business Partner to support the Senior Business Partner for now and the business unit with weekly/monthly reporting, analysis and challenging the management team to drive performance & adherence to process.


In addition, you will be expected to use knowledge and experience to assess and propose continuous improvement regarding reporting, collation and processing of data relating to the business unit's performance and reporting.

Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with an hour for lunch, totalling 40 hours per week.

However due to the duties and responsibilities associated with the role, the postholder is expected to demonstrate a flexible approach to working hours and will be expected to dedicate any time to ensure all tasks are progressed and completed.


Your day will look like this:

  • Analysis and review of expenditure within the business unit
  • Preparation and support to the business unit of weekly forecasts
  • Monthly & weekly reporting of KPI's & performance of the business unit
  • Review & support in tender submission
  • First point of contact for management for financial queries
  • Ownership of several depots in the network through the month end process
  • Month end reporting on network performance to senior management
  • Ensure financial process is followed across the network
  • Assistance to the network in capex submission
  • Handling of data requests & analysis from senior management
  • Ensure invoicing is done in a timely manner throughout the network
  • Balance sheet preparation

How you can help us with your experience:

  • A good general knowledge of accounting with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role is essential
  • Nonqualified / Part qualified
  • CIMA/ACCA or similar
  • Study package will be offered
  • Competent using Microsoft office software. Knowledge of relevant software such as Focalpoint, Access Dimensions / aCloud CRM would be advantageous but not essential as all training will be provided
  • Good communication skills are essential, as the post holder will need to create and maintain effective and professional working relationships with key client personnel
  • Due to the nature of the role, the post holder must be able to prioritise, adapt to changing deadlines or change, and have excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail
  • Professional, approachable, 'cando' attitude
  • The post holder will be expected to undertake all duties in a professional manner, representing the Company well and to the best of their ability
  • The post holder will be expected to undertake any task assigned by line manager for which they are suitably qualified and experienced to undertake
  • Right to work in the UK and full UK driving licence
