The role of the Accounts Assistant is to provide accounting support to multiple Finance Business Partners within operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties;
Month end activities including journal posting, balance sheet reconciliations and providing other adhoc support required across the Finance function

Updating the monthly overhead load file with actuals and forecast inputs from business partners

Prepare, review and distribute weekly material variances pack

Maintain register of agency staff. Responsibilities will include updating the register with invoices received from each agency and maintenance of the register to reflect any leavers or joiners

Coding of invoices and support to Accounts Payable team

Dealing with standard price cost roll requests from Purchasing and Aftermarket functions

Liaising with other members of the Finance team to accurately distribute a daily pulse report


Ensure adequate financial controls are in place and maintained and act as a conscience of the business ensuring that general controls and processes are adhered to in business areas in line with best practice.

Adhoc reporting & any other duties as required


Job requirements:

Proficient in the use of all MS Office packages, particularly Excel and Powerpoint

Accounting knowledge

Working within a fast paced Group Company environment

Excellent communication skills

Organised and Structured approach to work with the ability to prioritise

Strong attention to detail - role will prepare reports to be presented to senior Executives

Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced environment

There is no regular travel required with this role
