This role is working for a developing business specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of RC and bolted steel Liquid Storage Tanks.
The management team has a vision of a business, which is principled in all its dealings, and treat their customers, staff, and suppliers with respect.
The person will be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying, initiating, and completing tasks and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for the smooth and successful running of the department and design processes
- Generate project and production technical drawings for steel and concrete tanks, bases and roofs in 2D and 3D where required
- Coordinate drawings and designs, between ourselves, suppliers and clients to achieve approvals on time
- Produce BOM's / packing / fabrication lists re bar schedules
- To develop and manage CDM requirements
- To support the project managers where needed
- To deliver a service to Customers and all other departments of the business
- To provide design support for new product development
- Provide technical support to each department
Duties:
- Produce site specific general arrangement drawings for customer approval in 2D and 3D
- Produce / coordinate site specific designs for customer approval
- Ensure drawing approval on time is achieved
- Produce project specific production drawings& detailed BOM's for production & procurement
- Produce component technical drawings (2D and 3D) as required
- Produce project specific drawings for sales team as required
- Contribute and support product development
- Provide technical knowledge and support to all departments
Key background, education and experience:
- Tank Industry experience carrying out a similar role
- Prioritisation skills
- 2D and 3D drawing CAD skills (AutoCAD) and proficiency
- Knowledge of and historical evidence of dealing with, health and safety matters
- Ability to be flexible / multitask based on workflow demands
- Attention to detail
- Good problemsolving skills
- Leadership skills
- Communication skills at all levels, colleagues, customers, suppliers, consultants and site teams
- Excel and Word computer skills to a good business level. Microsoft Project preferred
- Specific design software such as STAAD or similar
