About The Connection at St Martin's

We believe that no one should have to sleep rough on London's streets, and that everyone should get the support they need to find a place to call home.

We get to know every person we work with, understanding what they need to recover, helping them build on their strengths, and supporting them to find their own way home.

Help us make London a city where no one sleeps rough on our streets.

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and welcome the opportunity to consider flexible working arrangements.

Developing Routes To Accommodation - Opportunity for a senior level Consultant or Interim

We work in the most concentrated area of rough sleeping in the UK and our clients experience multiple barriers to moving away from the streets and present as a high risk to any type of landlord.

Despite this, we believe that everyone deserves a future that is better than their past and we want to find long term accommodation for 300 of our most long standing clients by 2028.

To meet this ambitious challenge, we are looking for a consultant to work with us to develop routes into accommodation for our clients, design a support service and create a detailed fundraising case.

The support service will reflect our theory of change which is based on trauma informed care. Our consultant will work closely with the CEO and Director of Services at The Connection.

The ideal fit for this opportunity will be someone who has held a senior role in a local authority housing context, homelessness organisation, or a Registered Social Landlord such as a housing association, with existing strong networks with decision makers in housing.

The key to this role is to bring the credibility and gravitas to open doors at the right level to make this happen.

The role is anticipated to start in July if possible and last for 9 months until the end of March 2025, working roughly half time hours and with hybrid/flexible working if requested.

It will be remunerated at our Director level c£65,000 pro rata'd for part time hours.

We can offer the role on a fixed term contract on a salaried basis or on a day rate as a sole trader as long as we work within budget.
