About the Role


We have a permanent vacancy of 37 hours for a Business Support Assistant based within Carrick Family Hubs, supporting the work of the Early Help Service.

Carrick Family Hubs is made up from Falmouth, Perranporth and Truro.

The main working location will be across Perranporth and Truro with an expectation to provide reception cover across the locality as needed.

The primary role is to provide administrative support in the delivery of those services, supporting operational colleagues and ensuring timely communications with service users and partner agencies.

The Together for Families directorate provides support to children and families within the county.

Cornwall Council is an evolving and developing organisation that requires a level of responsiveness within its services and from its employees.

The post-holder will respond positively within this type of environment, pro-actively accepting the challenges and opportunities that are fundamental within a changing organisation.

This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.

Whilst the location/work-base for this role has been specified our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g. from home/other locations). We will discuss this with you during the recruitment process.

About you


Applicants should have 4 GCSEs (A-C), or equivalent, including English and Maths, excellent keyboard skills and significant experience of general office procedures.
