Do you want to start your career working in a friendly, supportive and forward thinking department that offers great training and CPD opportunities?


We are looking for a therapist with excellent communication skills, who is keen to develop specialist skills in working with clients with acquired neurological disorders.

You will have the opportunity to work in a specialist community stroke multidisciplinary team in addition to working in our main community adult speech and language therapy service.

The post will include opportunities to work across community inpatient units, clinic and domiciliary settings. The team also run a community outpatient videofluoroscopy clinic in conjunction with the local acute trust.


You will be taken through a structured preceptorship program, completing dysphagia training, in addition to having opportunities for further specialist training as needed.

You will be supported by senior staff with advanced clinical knowledge in areas of stroke, voice, dysfluency, dysphagia and aphasia.


There is also a local band 5 SLT peer support group that staff are encouraged to attend in addition to regular team CPD meetings and supervision.
