We are recruiting for a full-time 'Content Marketing Assistant' to join our amazing team at The Venue Experts, where our in-house work culture is our top target You will have the chance to get your hands on all things creative, work with some gorgeous wedding venues, drive brands to success and of course, enjoy the perks of being a member of a super supportive and driven team


The details
This full-time role will require working weekdays and occasional weekends, only for special events such as Wedding Showcases. Your working week is based on 40 hours per week with a £20,000 salary per year.

We encourage flexible working hours with a hybrid approach to remote and office working - which is based in a fantastic and unique factory conversion in Loughborough.

What we are looking for

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a marketing, content creation or journalism role
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with confidence to follow briefs
  • Designing and producing documents, such as brochures and branded pricing PDFs in Word and InDesign
  • Comfortable tapping into audience needs, and adapting the language and content preferences across different marketing channels
  • Generate infographics to support wider business objectives, e.g. social media, to create demand and build awareness
  • Identify and execute content ideas for multiple audiences, across multiple channels (we do enjoy the TikTok trends)
  • Social Media account management
  • Be able to proofread and ensure all documents align with the branding
  • A creative mind with keen attention to detail
  • Curious and eager to learn; always looking for ways to level up
  • Work closely with the marketing team and digital teams to ensure all content marketing initiatives and activities are aligned
  • A foundational understanding of SEO concepts to support strategy and execution

Preferred:


  • Knowledge and experience in copywriting for the web, with an understanding of organic web traffic performance metrics
  • An understanding of web publishing requirements and experience in using content management systems (CMS). We mainly work with websites on WordPress.
  • Experience in sales and marketing in the wedding industry is preferred, though is not essential.
Most importantly we are looking for the perfect person who is willing to learn, excited to join us on a journey of growth and achieving amazing results for our clients, whilst having fun along the way

Hours: 40 per week

Task after 1st interview
Please create an Instagram post and complimentary story for two of our brands, Prestwold Hall and The Hall Barns. The posts must be at least 100 words, so we can see your copywriting skills.

You're welcome to use any images/videos found on our website or social media or if you prefer, please use stock imagery.

In addition, design a complementary story (minimum of four per venue) that ties in with your post.

We encourage you to be aware of the venue's branding, be as creative as possible and use infographics that show your design skills.
