Sales Manager - Essex

Environmental & Health & Safety Compliance

Up to £45,000 + Uncapped Commission + Bonus + Car + Benefits

My client is one of the UK's leading Environmental consultancies, offering a range of technical services based around Asbestos Management, Health & Safety, Fire Risk and Water Hygiene.

They are currently looking to recruit a Sales Manager to join their thrivingSouthern office.

The role of Sales Manager will see you lead, mentor, motivate and grow the sales team whilst also being hands on in terms of business development and revenue generation.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Sales Manager will be responsible for managingtheir own revenue target, aswell as the entire sales teams.

You will also play a key role in supporting the Bid Management team in gaining access to major tenders and contract opportunities.

Other duties include:

Arranging client meetings and developing relationships
Support staff with quote preparation
Carry out staff appraisals and support with staff development
Attend weekly management meetings to report on sales forecasting and targets
Selling in the business services through a variety of methods

The successful Sales Manager will possess:

A proven track record of bringing in business within the Environmental and Health & Safety Compliance sectors (Asbestos, Water Hygiene, H&S/Construction)
Previous experience in managing a team of sales staff
Good industry knowledge of Asbestos and Health & Safety is highly desirable
Ability to develop and grow diverse sales teams
Demonstrate strong commercial ability
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Highly desirable:

BOHS P402, P403, P404, P405 certifications
NEBOSH General Certificate
Previous experience working as a Sales Manager within an Asbestos or H&S consultancy

In return, my client offers a basic salary between £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience) along with an uncapped OTE, additional company bonus, a company car or car allowance, and a very attractive benefits package
