    About the Role


The Head of Supply Planning has responsibility for coordinating the Supply Planning team to deliver target levels of Service, Cost and inventory across the company network.

This role is accountable for the Supply activities within the S&OP process, and for defining the future Supply Chain Planning strategy within the company.


Responsibility for delivering planning process improvements, which will support the S&OP agenda of producing cash flow savings through reduced stock holding as well as factory efficiency savings through stable production plans.

It means analysing every little detail, spotting and overcoming barriers and working towards our ambitious plans.


Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of the monthly production planning cycle, material management and ingredients call off.
  • Management of planning system including ongoing development
  • Manage short term supply decisions in partnership with Sales and Customer services
  • Working with the Demand Planning Manager to highlight and mitigate any potential availability issues before they occur.
  • Accountable for the integrity of the full Supply Plan
  • Working alongside key business stakeholders to develop ways of working that drive an improvement in availability as well as manage the availability reporting
  • Provide Supply Chain Planning information for budget and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare annual budgets and HR resourcing plans for area so that it has sufficient resources to achieve its agreed objectives

Who we are looking for

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience
  • Qualifications in supply chain management, logistics etc would be desirable
  • We need a strong, inspirational leader, coupled with people management experience and who has a great balance of people and commercial focus.
  • Deep experience in supply chain and logístical planning and execution, and leading teams within this area.
  • Already be a Head of Supply Planning working within a manufacturing environment
  • Have the analytical skills to work with a high SKU range and develop reports to simplify and aid key business decisions (stock policy, optimised inventory levels)
  • Have a track record of building and developing teams
