In every way the Geography Department mirrors the aims and beliefs of the school. All staff

environment for learning. The recent Ofsted report highlighted the fact that 'Leaders have
planned a curriculum that is ambitious for all pupils'. It is true that the pupils love to acquire
new knowledge and skills; their teachers relish the opportunity to deliver engaging, challenging
lessons to committed pupils.
Applications are welcomed from ECTs and experienced practitioners. Outstanding support is
provided for ECTs through the schools very supportive and structured ECT programme.
Geography is offered through KS3, KS4 and KS5. Outstanding engagement and progress is
reflected in the significant number of pupils opting to take Geography at A level. The
successful applicant should be able to teach GCSE Geography. The school has an excellent record of success at GCSE and A Level.
