Crestwood Community School is one school, with two campuses serving central Eastleigh.

We are looking for someone who can play an active role in contributing to the already high standards within this team.

The school runs two resourced provisions:
one for Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD), the other for Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH). We are therefore a unique place to gain deep experience across a broad range of learning needs.

We are looking to recruit an
ELSA to work with our Inclusion Support Team.

The ELSA works with the SENCO to; provide administrative support, assist in the support and inclusion of all pupils, develop learning activities/programs for individual pupils or group and deliver lessons under the professional direction and supervision of a qualified teacher, plan and deliver specialist programmes for individual pupils or small groups of pupils, develop their emotional literacy drawing upon the training and supervision from Educational Psychologists and Learning Support Team.

We require someone who can empathise with students whilst holding them to high expectations. Good communication skills and an ability to clarify and explain instructions clearly are essential. You must be professionally discreet, have well developed interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour. The ability to build appropriate and effective relationships with staff, students and parents is essential.

All applicants must have good basic literacy and numeracy skills and the physical stamina to effectively support a range of students.

Crestwood Community School had their most recent Ofsted inspection in June 2018, which confirmed that we continue to be a 'good' school.

We also achieved outstanding gradings in Personal Development and Behaviour and Leadership.

They also said that as a school we are _"passionately committed to providing a first-class inclusive education for all pupils; tenacious in their pursuit of additional resources and approaches to continually improve provision."_ This is a happy school, where staff and students want to be.

The "Crestwood Family" pervades through everything we do.
