    Here at Americold Spalding we are now recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor. As a Warehouse Supervisor you'll be responsible to highlight, support & remove obstacles which impact productivity, whilst also challenging under performance and unacceptable behavior that could affect the overall team's performance & moral. To ensure quality standards and work processes are adhered to at all times.

    Responsibilities

    • To deputize in all aspects of the site operations for the Managers in times of absence.
    • (Evenings & Nights – when applicable) First point of contact for the site and site security personnel.
    • Supervision of day-to-day operations and personnel.
    • Work to Americold's Quality Manual segments as issued by the BRC Administrator.
    • Carry out activities and instructions in a manner to preserve & protect food safety, legality, and security.
    • Manage Health & Safety or various site Compliance areas as issued by the operations. manager plus any regular scheduled tasks associated with it.
    • Direct produce surveyors to location of products to be inspected.
    • Collate arrival information together and ensure information is distributed to the correct area.
    • Fill out Arrival Forms for the next day's deliveries, where applicable.
    • Allocate Store locations for expected arrivals.
    • Ensure all products are stowed correctly and available for QC inspection.
    • Ensure adequate staffing levels and prioritize where resources are needed most.
    • Act as 1st point of contact between customers using units on the site and Managers.
    • Carry out stock count checks or stock queries issued by the administration department.
    • Ensure all booking in / picks and dispatches are overseen and carried out to company procedures and accurate.
    • Investigate any non-conformances raised as result of either system / site or personnel failure – reporting back to the managers with findings.
    • Assist in the loading and unloading of lorries or containers in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
    • Assist in collation of orders and stock transfers accurately.
    • Where needed designate personnel to ensure handling equipment is kept in a clean and satisfactory condition.
    • Ensure daily operation equipment checks are being carried out.

    Requirements

    • Previous strong warehousing experience managing staff (essential)
    • Accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Aware of safe methods of working.
    • Able to work on own initiative.
    • Able to work within and lead a team.
    • Have an overall common-sense approach to tasks.
    • Need to be flexible in a constantly changing environment

    Working Hours


    Monday - Friday (8am - 6pm) with flexibility
