Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering an established organisation to recruit a Project Accountant.

This position requires a commercially strong finance professional who can confidently provide support to Project Managers in managing project financesand performing month-end project accounting tasks.

The company operate a hybrid working pattern with 2 days a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) in the office located close to London Bridge.


Responsibilities of the Project Accountant include:

  • Preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Supporting Project Managers in daytoday project finance management
  • Preparation and provision of robust financial forecasting and with full commentary
  • Presenting month end figures and key insights to Project Managers
  • Providing commentary on variances and project risk
  • Take part in commercial review meetings
  • Analysing budgets and identifying risks
  • Overseeing project audits and ensuring a timely response is given to audit requests
  • Reviewing, updating and improving the current processes and systems
  • Posting accurate journals
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet reports and reconciliations
To be considered for the role of Project Accountant, the following attributes are required:

  • Newly qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferred
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strong Excel skills
