Assembly Operative / Production Assembler

The Best Connection are currently seeking
Assembly Operatives for a Manufacturer of electrical products in the Telford area.


Pay £11.44 with overtime available, paid at time and a third, half and double, depending on the circumstances.


Working Hours 7:00 to 16:15 Monday to Thursday; 7:00 to 11:00 on Friday


Breaks 10 minutes in the morning, 30 minute lunch and 10 minutes in the afternoon.


Responsibilities of the Assembly Operatives

  • Working in a busy and fast pace environment.
  • Using power tools to assemble the items
  • Being able to read drawings.
  • Work to a specific speed to achieve the businesses takttime to build the products
  • Quality checks
  • Working within a team environment
  • House Keeping


Inductions will be required to work on the site: this involves a numeracy and literacy test and due to assembling electrical components which has a number of different coloured items; a colour sight test will also be given.


Requirements of the Assembly Operatives

  • Attention to detail.
  • Being able to use power tools
  • Good accuracy and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work to target.
  • Good communication skills
  • Standing on your feet all day
