Salary:

Grade 5, Spinal Column Point 14-19, £25,409 - £27,852


Working Arrangements:

36.25 hours per week, Monday - Friday, flexitime working arrangements

LFRS is currently recruiting for the post of Community Safety Advisor; the role of the post holder will be to help make Lancashire a safer community through promoting and advising on community fire safety and the wider determinants of health and well-being.


Applicants will be required to demonstrate an ability to support and communicate with vulnerable people living in the community, plus the ability to undertake a range of practical activities including the fitting of fire alarms.

It is also essential that applicants have a problem-solving approach to completing tasks and can work on their own initiative.

Community Safety Advisors deliver training packages to groups of people, so applicants must have the ability to present information to small groups.

There is also a responsibility for the post holder to run the Fire Cadet Unit on station. Cadets run during term time and on a weekday evening.

A driving licence and the availability of a suitable vehicle for business use are also essential.

We anticipate interviews to take place on 13 July 2023.
