Kitchen goods receiver
We're looking for a goods receiver to facilitate the daily operations at our CPU in Wimbledon.
You will be working with our Head of Procurement and be responsible for goods receiving along with supporting the head chefs with maintaining food safety and health and safety standards throughout our production kitchens.
This is a dynamic role where you may be needed to support food preparation and kitchen portering roles.You will be working across two businesses:
Odyssey Dining
- Odyssey Dining is a newly launched business servicing luxury catering to the private jet industry, with a mission to change the taste of travel. We provide curated catering boxes for an unmatched inflight dining experience, with the highest quality locally sourced products available and menus designed by Michelinstarred chef Jordan Bailey.
Culinary Collective
- We bring critically acclaimed chefs and indemand restaurant brands to events and markets across the UK. Our mission is to transform traditional event catering by curating the ultimate food experiences on tour, offering mouthwatering food options that will 'wow' the guests. Offering bespoke food trucks, popup restaurants, catering to private and corporate events and tasting experiences.
- Manage all associated food packaging and ordering
- Ensure delivered products are checked against purchase specifications and purchase order.
- Judge the quality, quantity, and sanitary conditions of products.
- Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
- Verify weights of products accurately using scale properly and log details.
- Inspect the supplier's invoice for accuracy in quality descriptions, quantities, and prices.
- Ensure the net weight of products is recorded and checked against the supplier's invoice.
- Monitor all delivery vehicles for cleanliness and temperature, then log all details.
- Manage credit memo when products are spoiled, do not meet specifications, or when too many have been delivered.
- Ensure effective stock rotation in all areas of refrigeration and dry store
- Receive and check returned goods from events
- Support CPU chefs where necessary with food preparation
- Maintain appropriate cleanliness across all kitchens and storage areas
- Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all foodrelated businesses
Pay:
£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
