Hours: 8:15am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday in a FE College


Responsibilities:


  • Guiding students and visitors and giving directions
  • Patrol assigned areas and ensure the security and safety of the premises
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems
  • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activities
  • Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services when necessary

Experience:


  • Previous experience as a security officer or in a related field is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of security procedures and protocols is a plus
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
  • Strong observation skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
£13.11 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week


Schedule:

Licence/Certification:

  • Enhanced DBS (required)
  • First Aid at Work (preferred)
  • SIA Licence (preferred)
  • Experience in Education setting (preferred)
