A unique Special Needs School with a community feel, based in Barking is recruiting several new Special Needs LSA's to start immediately

You will be responsible for working as part of the support team, under the direction of the class teacher assisting small classes.

The school is filled with the best available resources to support a creative, multi-sensory environment for pupils to develop.

The head teacher and SLT have worked tirelessly with the teaching and support staff to create an ethos which put simply is to developan innovative and visionary inclusive approach.

The school has very high needs which you will be required to support, such as vision impairment, hearing impaired, physical disabilities, and high medical needs.

It is ideal you have experience dealing with youngpeople with these needs to make sure they progress appropriately.

The successful applicants will be offered a long-term full-time roles for a full academic year, and with the potential to be extended thereafter.

The school will invest heavily in your development and encourage career progression and professional development through regular CPD training.

Permanent contracts will be offered to those who distinguish themselves this year - this is the way the school hasrecruited their TA staff for the last 4 years and the vast majority of those appointed in this way do get contracts.

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

Have experience working with Hearing/ Vision Impaired students (desirable)
Have experience working within an SEN Setting.
Willingness to undertake personal care tasks (feeding, changing, toileting etc.)
Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
Recent classroombased references and valid DBS/police checks

Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
You must have legal right to work in the UK
You must be willing to attend a registration interview
