As a Early Help & Wellbeing Practitioner; what does the role entail:

EHWB practitioners are required to deliver interventions within the Lancaster or Fylde, Wyre areas, providing therapeutic, evidence-based interventions to children and young people aged from 4yrs, to 18yrs (or 25yrs SEND) You will be part of a team delivering 1-1 or group work interventions across a 10-week model of early intervention support, offering a blended approach combining face to face, telephone, and online support.


Your day will consist of

  • To regularly deliver solutionfocused and creative and imaginative strategies to work alongside parents/carers to develop their skills, knowledge, and resilience to meet the individual needs of their children.
  • To develop and explore new and innovative ways of working with children and young people to address emotional/mental health issues.
  • To work as part of the Emotional Health and Wellbeing service, to encourage families to actively participate in services that are identified as part of their assessed needs.
  • Undertake activities, including home visits, outreach, to make contact and engage referred children, young people, and families.
  • To coordinate and follow up on all support plan activities, liaising with other agencies such as schools, voluntary and statutory services as required.

This job is for you, if

  • You have aminimum L3 qualification in one of the following qualifications or equivalent: Working with Children, Young People and Families, Youth Work/Youth and Community Work, Social Work, Counselling
  • You have experience of working with and supporting young people with diverse complex needs.
  • You have a calm personable nature and find appropriate resolutions when handling conflict.
  • You are a resilient and confident team worker who can work on their own initiative or work as part of a team.
  • You are a friendly, enthusiastic, hardworking individual.
  • You enjoy working as part of a small staff team.
  • You understand the need for confidentiality with a professional and caring approach to work.
  • You have full driving licence and access to own vehicle essential
