Bid Coordinator - Leeds or York

Welcome to TRUe:


The Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) aims to deliver faster, longer, more frequent, and more reliable services across the north of England, from Newcastle, Hull and York towards Manchester and Liverpool via Leeds.


The aim of the TRU Alliance is to transform the East of Leeds route allowing people to travel faster, more reliably and in greater comfort between the North's great cities.

Providing passengers with more choice, more seats, and better facilities on a safer,cleaner, more environmentally friendly railway.


Responsibilities include proposal planning and reporting using agreed SharePoint system, document creation, population, compilation and control, and submission in line with client timescales.

High level of attention to detail and an ability to work under pressureare essential for this role.


What you will be doing

  • The Proposal Coordinator will work closely with the Bid Manager and the Commercial, Planning, Engineering, Requirements, Project Management and Estimating Teams in the preparation and submission of RfE submissions under the ADA contract and Project Proposalsunder the PAA Contract.
  • Duties
  • Assist in the planning and timely preparation of high quality Alliance Proposals Submissions and support Tenders for all Alliance business participants; liaising with Non-Owner Participants (Alliance contractors) and the Network Rail Owner Participant asnecessary
  • Introduction and implementation of all necessary document version control procedures and processes
  • Production and delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes
  • Coordinate proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from planning, risk, commercial etc.
  • Ensure proposal documents follow Alliance branding guidelines, standard formatting and quality standards
  • Consolidate sections and/or documents developed by others team members into the required proposal format
  • Maintains tracker document and PPC in line with the above, feeding the information to Project Controls and briefing the Bid Manager
  • Liaises with all participants to manage governance into the Alliance
  • To work with the design and project team to organise stakeholder inputs at various stages of the bid (prelaunch information, management of give's and gets throughout the proposal production
  • To work closely with document controls to ensure nomenclatures, formats and versions are controlled and available to the appropriate members of the teams
  • To assist the Bid Manager in the upkeep of the proposals delivery programme and all the associated documents and schedules.

Who we are looking for

  • HND/ Degree level, or previous exposure in a relevant professional proposals/ coordination discipline
  • Good information management working closely with document control
  • Exposure and understanding of bid management and production for large, multifaceted projects
  • The ability to proof read documents for fluidity and the correct use of English
