Purpose of Role:
The HSE Officer is required to maintain the production team's awareness of the potential for unplanned losses of people, time, reputation and equipment, whether belonging to A&P or others.
Responsibilities
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Ÿ To monitor conformance with health, safety & environmental regulations as well as A&P procedures
Ÿ To report and record health, safety, environmental and quality performance
Ÿ To carryout or assist others in the investigation, reporting and recommend action on accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformance's
Ÿ To carryout, and assist others with, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
Ÿ To provide advice on health, safety, environmental and quality matters to line management
Ÿ Required to be trained as a member of the FRET Team
Ÿ To process claims received from solicitors and the Department of Social Security
Ÿ To Liaise with Company insurers
Ÿ To liaise with Company loss adjusters
Ÿ To Liaise with Company solicitors
Ÿ To assist line management in dealing with emergencies situations
Ÿ To ensure safety related equipment is maintained and tested
Ÿ To write policies, codes of practice, ships safety plans in the absence of (or at the request of) the HSEQ Manager
Ÿ To deal with external auditors, Health & Safety Executive emergency services and other enforcing authorities
Ÿ To assess and monitor subcontractors when on site
Ÿ To maintain a programme of continual professional development
As an employee of A&P you are expected to familiarise yourself with the company's Integrated Management System Policy and to work in accord with its requirements.
