Introduction:

To provide education and organisational support to instructors, guide students during structured and non
- structured sessions and assist students to achieve their full potential. You will be a key worker which involves you working on a one to one/group basis. You will support a learner(s) with their individual learning programmes and working closely with parents and other agencies.


You will:

Provide support, guidance and motivation to learners through all issues, whilst showing the highest respect during all forms of communication.

Support the learner to work towards the industry recognised qualifications including functional skills support.

Support the learner to engage in all aspects of theory and practical training with MPCT Ensure that the learners personal and social needs are developed to create a safe and effective learning environment.

Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required, on student achievement, progress and other matters, ensuring the availability of appropriate evidence.

Identifying and implementing strategies to achieve to support individual learning needs of EHCP learners. Specific Employment Duties To monitor student progress and assist in their physical, mental and social development.

To support the delivery of all vocational sessions, by providing learners with the support required to participate fully in all activities.

To support learners in the development of literacy and numeracy skills through a contextualised curriculum Contribute to monthly progress reviews, to ensure all aspects of student life at MPCT is captured and planned accordingly.

Complete Learner support sessions where applicable

Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required, on student achievement, progress and other matters, ensuring the availability of appropriate evidence.

Establish productive working relationships with students/s, acting as a role model and setting high expectations. Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom. Support student/s consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs. Encourage students to interact and work cooperatively with others and engage all students in activities. Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement of self-reliance. Provide feedback to student/s in relation to progress and achievement.

Liaise sensitively and effectively with parents/carers as agreed with the ILP within your role/ responsibility and participate in feedback sessions/meetings with parents and Careers.

To inform Line Manager of all activities, on a weekly basis. To carry out Duty Staff duties or to arrange cover when necessary Attend daily briefings & weekly staff meetings. To assist staff in the delivery of their work with the students.

Be flexible for the needs of the learners and the business to ensure support is completed Essential Criteria Ability to communicate with confidence, authority, clarity and persuasiveness, both orally and in writing, to a wide variety of audiences.

Ensure that initiatives and team projects are seen through to completion, supporting colleagues where necessary and displaying resourcefulness and determination in the face of obstacles and setbacks.

Ensure that completed projects are properly evaluated, or that ongoing processes are regularly assessed, and that learning points are passed both to the team and across to others where relevant.

Teaching qualification at L3 or above (desirable) Maths and English qualifications at a minimum of L2
