The job will include but not be limited to:- To liaise with manager on how the room is getting on.
- To make sure children, parents and staff are all happy.
- To ensure staff are supported and directed throughout the day.
- To make sure routine is stuck to and all activities are taking place.
- To make sure observations are taking place.
- Lead by example, being a positive role model.
- Be accountable for your own actions and the actions of others.
- Ensure safeguarding is at the heart of everything you do and that nothing is left for someone else.
- Coach, train, support and evaluate staff development.
- Make suggestions for further staff development and learning.
- Enable assistant room leader to coach, train, and support practitioners.
- Report all concerns regarding children, staff, parents, the environment etc to the manager without delay.
- Complete data analysis quarterly.
- Accept observations after checking they are accurate and true reflection of learning shown.
- Ensure the risk assessment has been carried out each day before opening and any concerns reported in a timely manner.
- Complete dinner section on overview board ensuring all staff know their allocated slots for dinner.
- Complete section on overview board for PPA/Update reports and study ensuring all staff know their allocated times for these.
- File previous weeks planning, check this has been annotated by staff and give any feedback needed.
- Replace previous weeks panning with upcoming weeks planning, check activities are age appropriate and provide a high standard of learning. Check COEL, FBV and differentiation has been added.
- File difficult conversations logs, update manager on any information needed.
- File Accident, Illness and sent home log, update manager on any information needed.
- Ensure all update reports have been completed by key workers and signed.
- Carry out daily debrief for staff via what's app with relevant information (days to be assigned).
- Ensure set up and close of room is done appropriately each day.
- Monitor staff development, identifying and promoting strengths and putting plans in place to support next steps.
- Deliver difficult conversations to staff and parents and ensure these are recorded.
- Organise and deliver staff meetings.
- Organise 3 monthly peer observations, ensure these are carried out and correct paperwork completed.
- Liaise monthly with SENCO on updates, current steps and progress.
- Liaise monthly with 1:1 support staff on updates, current steps and progress.
- Carry out weekly Ofsted questions.
- Ensure all cause for concerns form are completed and delivered confidentially and in a timely matter.
- Ensure staff communication board is up to date including key worker's, planning days/area of responsibilities and routine.
- Ensure twoyear reviews have been completed.
- Ensure parents are happy and knowledgeable about their child, their day, their development, and any additional information is passed on. Use the boxing system to ensure this is carried out.
- Ensure the learning environment indoor and out is suitable, stimulation and purposeful.
- Ensure relevant cleaning is taking place including toys, surfaces, chairs, sleep aids/room and a regular deep clean.
- Ensure all children are recorded as arrived within the room and the numbers are kept updated according to children inside, outside or leaving the building.
- Ensure daily care diaries are complete, correct and sent out on time.
Throughout the course of a morning, you will have many varied roles; if a child requests you to be a princess, you will be the best princess you can be You must have so much professional love to offer when required.
You must have the ability to read a story book upside down, with at least four interruptions per page You must be prepared to engage in lots of activities and be prepared to get messy- Formal face to face interview

Salary:
£9.00-£11.50 per hour
