Overview


Compass Associates are excited to be working with a well-established and successful obstetric, fertility and gynaecological ultrasound clinic on their search for a Lead Sonographer to join the team in Cheshire.


This private clinic performs detailed obstetric ultrasound scans at all stages of pregnancy, from viability scans through to well-being and 3D/4D 'HD Live' scans in late pregnancy.

Exceptional standards for patient care is what sets them apart from other private clinics in the area.

Joining an already well-established and supportive team, this is a fantastic chance for any sonographer with experience overseeing a team to lead a workforce who are passionate about delivering an outstanding service.

You will be the lead sonographer within the clinic. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the clinic.


You will be a highly experienced sonographer that can provide leadership to ensure the delivery of safe and efficient patient care.

You will ensure that sonography examination results meet the clinics high standard for quality assurance before findings are released.

You will also carry out assurance protocols, provide technical and clinical updates, function as an expert in sonography, help market the clinic and implement scanning / quality protocols.


You will have senior support from the Managing Director and Doctors, in addition to having access a live ultrasound reporting / imaging system that is connected to other clinics to ensure maximum support for staff.

Minimum Requirements

  • Postgraduate certificate or Diploma in Medical or Clinical Ultrasound or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in the supervision of sonographers
  • Experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Ultrasound
  • HCPC Registration
Salary & Benefits

There is a salary on offer of up to £65K pa, which is highly dependent upon skills and experience.

Shift Pattern


This is a full time role (37.5 hours), the clinic is open 7 days per week and the hours are flexible.
