    The Consumer Technical Insight & Claims (CTI) Team sits at the intersection of product development and brands.

    The role will challenge you to:


    Start and end with the consumer: Create and use powerful consumer insights to shape product ideas, claims and demos that feel relevant and inspiring to real people.


    Bring insights to life:
    Translate complex science into simple, inspiring product stories.

    Whether through hands-on demos, creative visuals, or compelling communications, make the science that powers our products desirable and easy to understand.


    Champion integrity:
    Ensure claims and communications are always grounded in robust scientific evidence. Uphold the highest standards in consumer-ethics and data management.
    Work at pace across R&D and

    The World:
    Translate project briefs into robust consumer research programmes or claims strategies, in partnership with global teams.

    Think digital & social-first: Help us bring science to life through platforms like Instagram and TikTok, making our innovations resonate with today's beauty consumers.


    Craft research briefs:
    Coordinate consumer learning programmes, working closely with internal functions and third parties to unlock fresh insights.

    Collaborate with a diverse range of co-creators: Work with beauty influencers, editors and consumers to co-create compelling product stories and shape claims that resonate in the market.

    This includes engaging in workshops, ideation sessions, and collaborative activities to make technical communications authentic, relevant, and inspiring.

    Drive continuous improvement:

    Take the initiative to boost CTI & Claims tools, sharing and developing expertise and best practices across our community.

    You are creative, fluent in social media apps such as Instagram and TikTok and have a keen interest in creating social-style content.

    You can translate beauty market trends and consumer insights into new product opportunities, enabled by your passion & engagement with the beauty category landscape.

    You are constantly curious about the possibilities that digital tools such as AI, LLMs, agentic approaches offer to the future of serving our consumers with ever greater volume, velocity and variety of content.

    You love taking initiative and ownership, always looking for ways to improve how teams work.
    Preferably, you hold a degree in a physical or social science (chemistry background a plus).

    You have experience in consumer research, product design, or a technical marketing role and are enthusiastic to learn even more about consumers and the beauty domain.

    Recruitment Fraud


    Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.

    In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever.

    They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.

    These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

    How is Unilever tackling this?

    Many of Unilever's recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud.

    The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
