A&O Shearman Belfast Finance


Belfast Finance is part of the A&O Shearman Support Services Centre which was established in 2011 to provide services to the A&O Shearman network.


Within Belfast Finance, provision of service includes management and financial accounting & reporting, revenue and ebilling, credit control, accounts payable and tax.

Offices served are Paris, Spain, Germany, Amsterdam, Belgium, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, South Africa and Luxembourg.


There is a strong client service ethic and we work to Service Level Agreements, targets and deadlines to deliver in line with client expectations.


Role Purpose


To oversee and lead the day to day operational service delivery of the AP Team, for which you are responsible.

The overriding objective of this role is to ensure that high quality services are provided to both internal and external clients on a timely basis.

The role also involves continually striving to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the reporting systems and transactional processes.


Key requirements

  • Extensive Accounts Payable experience
  • Experience managing a high preforming team
  • Minimum of 5 GSCEs (Maths and English grade C or above)
  • Strong interpersonal skillsProven experience of dealing with demanding stakeholders/process partners
  • Experience in standardising and process improvement.
  • At least 1 years previous experience leading a team
