As a Nursery Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Nursery Chef in preparing and cooking nutritious meals for our young children aged between 3 months to 5 years old.

• Assist the Nursery Chef in preparing and cooking nutritious meals that meet the dietary requirements of young children.
• Ensure that all meals are cooked and served safely and hygienically, adhering to food safety standards and guidelines.
• Help to plan menus that are varied, nutritious and take into consideration special dietary requirements and allergies.
• Keep the kitchen and food preparation areas clean and tidy, following strict cleaning and hygiene procedures.
• Maintain inventory of food supplies and equipment, ensuring that they are stocked up and in good condition.
• Assist with the preparation of snacks, and mealtime set up and clean up.
• Follow procedures for ordering food supplies, taking deliveries, and storing food safely.
• Attend training sessions on food hygiene, nutrition and health and safety.

• Experience working in a professional kitchen or similar food preparation environment is preferred.
• Possess relevant qualifications in food preparation and hygiene, such as a Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of nutrition and special dietary requirements for young children.
• Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively and take direction.
• Passion for preparing and cooking nutritious and appealing meals for young children.
