As Head of Primary Care, you will provide coherent direction and leadership in order to ensure high levels of quality and performance are achieved within our in-hours GP Practices.

You will be accountable for delivering timely and excellent patient experience across our Practices.


In addition, you will be able to confidently establish and forge effective relationships with a range of internal and external partners, achieving shared outcomes through collaborative working.


Main duties of the job


This is a high profile opportunity to take a lead role in the development and transformation of Primary Care across all of our GP Practices.


As Head of Primary Care, you will be responsible for providing senior operational and strategic leadership to a range of clinical and non-clinical colleagues with ultimate accountability for the effective delivery of Primary Care.

Accountability will include oversight of safe and effective colleague rostering across your service area, managing your allocated financial budget, maximising and generating income, complying with contractual and statutory requirements and leading people.

You will be responsible for maintaining relationships with key stakeholders such as local commissioners and internal and external service delivery partners.

Job responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience working as a senior manager
  • Evidence of continuous professional development

Experience

  • Experience of working with and influencing others to lead service redesign projects
  • Experience of working within general practice
  • Project management experience, managing deadlines and targets, budget management, working within fluctuating and fast changing environments
  • Experience of successfully leading change management within an organisation
  • Experience of working across departmental and organisational boundaries to deliver specific targets and to improve services

£49,115.00 per year
