Credit Controller - £24,000 to £27,000 Dependant on experience.


Due to recent rapid growth within our Group; a dedicated Full time Credit Controller is required to join our finance team.


This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that will continue to grow and expand due to the growth of the group.


THE ROLE

  • Complete ownership and management of our customer accounts and database
  • Making calls on a daily basis to customers to ensure collection of all debts
  • Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts
  • Identify any trends for non payment and work with Customers to resolve queries
  • Negotiating repayment plans
  • Following up payments as required
  • Issuing 7 day letters through to Final Demands
  • Reduce debtor days ensuring maximum cash flow and bad debts are kept to a minimum
  • Ensure that no debt exceeds 60 days past due
  • Manage all customer accounts keeping accurate records of all activities and communications
  • Running statements monthly
  • Quarterly Purchase order audit
  • Managing the Sales ledgers
  • Liaise in a timely and effective manner with all internal customers as required
  • Any adhoc duties including general finance tasks

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a similar strong demanding credit control role is essential
  • Experience with Sage 50 (ideal but not essential) or other accounting software
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve debt collection targets
  • Must have proven record working with reporting in Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise duties and tasks
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures
  • Confidence to deal with a range of Customers / Managers / Colleagues
  • Problem solving skills
37.5 hours per week, working from our office in Wednesbury.

Salary:
£24,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
