- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medication accurately following prescribed care plans and medical terminology
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and preferences
- Support clients with light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Manage behaviour effectively, especially as client has dementia
- Document care activities accurately and communicate any changes or concerns,
- Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Previous experience in nursing home, care home, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Certification in first aid is advantageous
- Experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, or hospice care is highly desirable
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when required for mobility assistance or equipment use
- Strong organisational skills for managing care plans and behaviour management strategies
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine commitment to patient-centred care
