Paint Supervisor

Salary £30,000-£32,000. Dependent on experience and skills

Days - Mon to Fri
Aeroco Group is a leading commercial Aircraft Component Repair Station based in Stockport.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to strengthen our team based at Manchester Airport and to support the growth of our business.


We are currently looking for a Paint Supervisor with at preferably at least two years of working experience within an aerospace/automotive environment to work in one of customer hangars based at Manchester airport.


You will be responsible for supervising hangar base maintenance work including customer liaison, keeping the management team updated daily and raising any potential issues.

You must have a flexible attitude to become a versatile, multi-skilled individual.

Main responsibilities:


To work in conjunction with Aeroco Production Management Team & relevant external company management to ensure daily paint activities are completed safely, on-time, on-budget and to an extremely high-quality standard.


  • Oversee repair and painting of Aircraft components in accordance with supplied technical instruction.
  • Supervise single hangar base maintenance work including customer liaison, keeping the management team updated daily and raising any potential issues.
  • Coaching, resolving issues and serving as a link between your team and relevant departments.
  • Ability to provide 'hands on' support as workload dictates.
  • Assessing tools and equipment within their area to ensure they are serviceable and fit for purpose.
  • Promote positive implementation of PPE usage and current health and safety practices.
  • Taking part in and responding to audits both internally and externally.
  • Take ownership and accountability for quality control of all completed paint tasks.
  • Participation in disciplinary, capability, and appraisal procedures for Paint staff.
  • Involvement in progression and continuous improvement of Paint procedures.
  • Ensure good housekeeping within the AFB designated area during the working shift prioritising paint batches / shelf life etc.
  • Control the approval of staff leave, attendance and timekeeping based on your department's requirements making sure customer support is not affected.
  • Monitor performance and overtime and report accordingly.
  • Attend Hangar daily meetings as required, updates to be given to Hangar check contacts at the end of shift if necessary.
  • Ensure the department follows necessary regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with your team to keep them up to date on project status and objectives, departmental and any external / internal feedback issues.
  • Generate team performance KPIs.
  • Monitor and develop team skills.
