Senior Environmental Consultant, SOCOTEC, £25-30K, East Kilbride
To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Environment and Safety Division.

Our qualified and highly talented field consultants provide environmental analysis, environmental monitoring and consultancy services to assist clients in complying with legislation.

We're looking for an Senior Environmental Consultant to join our environmental consultancy team working on contaminated land, waste and environmental management projects across a range of sectors.

Typical activities for the role include:
- drilling contractor and trial pitting supervision
- experience in undertaking of gas, human health and water environment risk assessment, including Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessment
- supervision of ground investigation and remediation
- environmental monitoring
- factual and interpretative reporting across a range of technical disciplines

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

- previous practical fieldwork experience, including supervision of ground investigations
- previous experience of writing contaminated land and waste reports
- experience in using risk assessment tools
- relevant earth science or environmental degree
- excellent IT skills including MS Office and preferably QGIS
- good communication and client management skills
- good data handling skills and strong attention to detail
- be a member of a relevant professional body and working towards chartership
- good commercial awareness
- holding a full UK driving licence
- willingness to travel across the UK and stay away from home for project work
