The Supply Room is currently recruiting for a
1-1 Teaching Assistant to support a young person with
ADHD in Key Stage 3 at a school located in
Bristol, BS10. This temporary, long-term position is available at least until Easter, with the potential for extension.
As a 1-1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to the young person in need.
Your main objective will be to establish a positive and nurturing environment for the student, helping them to manage their behaviour and engage in the learning process.
Qualifications are not required for this role,
although a background or passion in sports is highly desirable. The young person enjoys sports, so having someone with a similar passion will enable you to build a strong connection and engage them in activities they enjoy.
To be successful in this role,
you must have experience working with children, preferably
in a secondary and SEN setting.
Experience with behaviour management is essential, as you will be tasked with supporting the student in developing better coping mechanisms and facilitating their social and emotional growth.
Your patience, empathy, and strong communication skills will be vital in building a trusting relationship and promoting positive behaviour.The pay rate for this position is between
£90 and £100 per day, depending on experience.
