The Role
As a Finance Business Partner, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.

Reporting to the Lead Finance Business Partner and working alongside other Finance Business Partners, you will be responsible for a portfolio of contracts providing key financial support, as well as working closely with the Operational team to improve processes and provide robust reporting to enable them to make key decisions.

Supports critical programmes within the Mission Systems Effectors business.
Working on a wide range of finance activities from ensuring robust financial controls to delivering project forecasts.
Reviewing projects to ensure strong trading margins and accurate profit opportunities.
Deputising for the Lead Finance Business Partner when needed.

This role is a full-time position, that is contracted thirty-seven hours a week and will be based at out Bristol site, with hybrid working from home arrangements.

The current expectation is to be onsite one day a week.

Essential Experience of the Finance Business Partner:

Be a confident and self-motivated team player.
Demonstratable commercial acumen having spent time in a business facing role.
Advanced numeric, analytical and technical skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience within a large organisation which operates an ERP system.

Qualifications for the Finance Business Partner:

Ideally, you will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ACMA, ICAEW, ICAS or equivalent / similar) or working towards your qualification however, just as important is the ability to work across functions and articulate financial concepts within a fast-moving contract accounting environment.
